What is a way we can estimate how much a life is worth?
Humanity once again suffers from the imminence of large-scale war and endless
pandemics, and many wonders: how much is a life worth? And animal lives and everything else,
how much are they worth?
To these questions, some people will tend to say that human experiences are equally
valuable, contribute something unique, give meaning to the world, and/or impact society, while
an animal's experience would be less valuable. Yuval Noah Harari in his 2016 book Homo deus
admits that not only are humans superior to other animals, but some human cultures are superior
to others.
