In this paper I will address question 1. What is a request for proposals (RFP)?
A request for proposal or RFP is used by businesses to allow outside organizations to present to
the business their proposal for services provided. The RFP is requested to compare and contrast
competing organizations proposals. This gives the company that is requesting the RFP an
opportunity to make sure that they are getting the best price and services requested.
A great example of this would be the contract security industry. Companies like Facebook with a
physical campus will often contract out there physical security. This means that they will pay
