The tragedy of Oedipus
In the play, Oedipus, by Sophocles the major tragic flaw by Oedipus is his conflicting
struggle between pride and anger. The Oedipus complex is something that is still relevant today.
Even Sigmund Freud has analyzed this notion and discussed about how it is natural for a son’s
first sexual interest to be their own mother and there first real enemy to be there father. Once
Oedipus finds out about the truth and how Jocasta is her mother he decides to stab his own
