Our program was about sex education and how to have body confidence. We mixed this
idea because we thought it went really well together and it was a positive way to segment each
idea into the other. Our goal was to ask the students of Purchase if they had any questions about
sex, how to feel more confident with their body when they are with their partner and anything
else they would think to mention. I decided to team up with Calista because I thought both of our
passions work very well together. I have always been a big fan of Body positivity and I thought it
would be great to share that information. Our presentation has shifted from Corona Virus. We
were going to do multiple activities and partner up with two organizations to really make this big
and bold. Unfortunately, we had to modify and send out a survey asking questions and getting
feedback from that in order for our prevention to overall be a speak out. The meditations of body
awareness that we used to do in class has led me to have ideas for our presentation. The day we
presented which was May 6th, I led the zoom meeting with a fun little meditation. Rather than
focus in on the breathing, I focused on the the words and have those words resonate with the
person. The words of this mediation were fun and easy to listen to.I wanted my part to be about
how body awareness is super important, especially when it comes to body confidence and
staying positive within that realm. I wanted people to realize that the body you have is going to
be with you every day and every night. The body is a precious part of being a human being that
many people take for granted without realizing it. The mind is connected to the body, but for the
most part many people think of the mind and heart and not what their feet are doing. It is
important to know that physical part. From the wellness wheel, the physical part is which I was
mostly referring to. From the feedback I received from the presentation, I can see how it is hard
to be aware of the body and how it needs to be addressed more. As life moves on and gets more
difficult it is easy to lose track of how your body feels when doing certain movements or
activities. Noticing those movements is difficult, but I believe that taking two minutes to unwind
and start to release the shoulders, and roll the ankles out, and breathe in and out can start to
release some stress that was built up. I believe that our presentation was beneficial because it
talks about body awareness and sex education that lacks in our society when it comes to
education. If there was more education based on these two, I believe that it can save a lot of
lives. In many ways, this can be a positive. I remember when Calista was talking about how
