Weekly Professional Memo — Week One
Actually, this is my first time to be in America and study here. I am an international
student from Hong Kong. It is quite interesting to me as everything is new and fresh. I
have taken three classes in this quarter and among these classes, Eng 101 is my favorite
class because you are very nice and helpful to students.
Speaking of the most important or useful things that I have gained in the previous week’s
class, undoubtedly, it must be the three strategies of narrowing a research topic. These
three strategies are considering the academic disciplines, asking questions and using
academic thinking strategies or patterns in which I think the consideration of academic
disciplines is the most crucial. From now on, I should consider different perspective such
as history perspective, psychological perspective and so on when I am writing an essay and
.It is of particular importance to me because I have always had trouble in elaborating the
detail and content.
As for the most confusing or difficult part, I think it would be annotated bibliography.
There are few reasons of it. The main reason is that I am not familiar with the USA
educational system and I didn’t know what is annotated bibliography because we don’t
