Gordan Ramsay is no doubt one of the greatest chefs ever for his work’s ethnic and
willingness to strive for the best result. As I recall, I first saw chef Gordon Ramsay on his
famous TV show “The Hell Kitchen”. I have to admit it was the first time I have ever seen such a
crazy chef. He kept yelling at his apprentices for messing up the dishes, cooking the food too
rare, or adding too many ingredients that make the dishes go out of balance.
Some hate him for being so rude and ignorant to his apprentices, some advocates him for
helping the newbies understand their faults or mistakes in order to improve themselves. Although
his teaching methods are not really polite or gentle, it surely gets the job done when many chefs
became successful following his advice. I think that Natalie can elaborate more on the
experiences when chef Ramsay helped his students, or stories where he showed more
compassion towards students. Moreover, she may want to tell us how his mentality stands out as
a model to her.
There are many reasons for why my classmate chooses to pursue the Bachelor’s degree of
Culinary School here at the Institute of Art. From her short essay of choosing role model, I
believe that Culinary is not only just a hobby to her, but also her dream, her desire, and her goal.
