The "Knowledge Revolution" is creating a massive paradigm shift. Drucker, Dertouzous, and other
authors would characterize this shift as dramatic and earth shattering. After reading the first week's
assignments, do you agree? Is this just a passing fad and hyperbole?
Write a cogent post of at least 250 words in which you describe how you believe this information
technology-induced paradigm shift will affect the career that you are preparing yourself for. Support
your answers with citation to our readings, reasoning, and logic. Through discussion questions like this
one, you will demonstrate that you are reading and thinking about the materials.

Although I am only in my early 30s I have watched technology shift from corded telephones, and
electric typewriters to cell phones, and tablets. The world has changed drastically in the last few
decades, as has the way that we do business. While the business that I am in is a business
development firm, and we use software and technology on a daily basis.
The paradigm shift to technology has allowed us to conduct business that would not have been
possible without such advanced technology. Our contractors work in several states, and our
clients are in other states. If we did not have technology to do this, such as cloud based
computing, and online conference software it would be nearly impossible to do this sort of
business.
