Mission Statement: Webvan offers the combination of internet grocery shopping with home
delivery to its customers by efficiently tracking orders and delivery process in order to provide
faster and easier shopping for customers.
The Problem: After the first IPO Louis Borders is excited and scared at the same time. Despite
the success on the trading, Borders is concerned about the future of the company, specifically
how he can assure sustainability. Webvan is facing many challenges. One is associated with the
reaction of competitors. Competitors will not just stand there with arms crossed. In fact, they will
