Running head: ASSIGNMENT 1 1
Assignment 1 – We Want More Time

ASSIGNMENT 1 2
Assignment 1 – We Want More Time There are times when people wait three months to
see their doctor, and when they finally get the appointment; their doctor can only see them for a
few minutes. This causes people to think they are not getting an adequate amount of attention
and time to build a patient-physician relationship. They find themselves spending more time with
nurses and assistants rather than their health care providers. The lack of time creates a problem
because it allows room for errors and misunderstandings. To accommodate the needs of patients
and provide an adequate amount of time with patients while still being able to see the same
amount of patients; doctors should make sufficient time. Time is an essential factor in inpatient
and outpatient care because it ensures that the doctor knows everything about each patient and is
caring for each patient effectively. Using time-management strategies can solve the problem with
patient-physician relationships.
