When you Google Walgreens, the first link that pops up is the Walgreens.com
link that states, “Walgreens. Trusted since 1901.|Walgreens”. Charles R. Walgreen Sr. purchased
the Chicago drugstore where he had worked as a pharmacist his energy and enthusiasm led to
new ideas and ambitious expansions- and that started the Walgreen Chain. In 1939 Charles
Walgreen Sr. died, and Charles Walgreen Jr. became the company president, and in 1969 Charles
