Wal-Mart on Global Ethics
Wal-mart has 3 basic beliefs in ethics:
1. Respect the individual
2. Service to our customers
3. Strive for excellence
Their 3 basic beliefs go hand in hand in conjunction with their integrity and
ethical conducts that they claim happen to be the foundations of their business.

Ethics
are the inner-guiding moral principles, values, and beliefs that people use
to analyze or interpret a situation and then decide what is the right or
appropriate way to behave.
In the “Help Wanted: Wal–Mart Seeks Ethics Guru” 3/6/2006 Wal-mart is seeking
a new person to run its global ethics operations. The job description asks for a
person who is willing and able to take on a difficult and unpopular position, the
incumbent must also retain an impeccable reputation for integrity and judgment.
This will be a tough job to take on. The incumbent must use their inner guiding
moral principles, values and beliefs to analyze a situation i.e. ethics.
