Most companies who have Configuration Management Analyst positions want their
future employees to have a bachelor’s degree in management, computer science, engineering, or
information systems and at least five years of experience is generally required. Tiana informed
me that this position was entry-level and that she got the job because of her bachelor’s degree as
well as her experience in Management at Target, she said a certification in configuration
management is wanted but not needed. Tiana stated that the hiring manager told her that even
though she did not have the all the requirements for this job, she had the work ethic, confidence,
and positivity that earned her this job and they wanted that in their work place.
