Aside from being one of the leading companies in communications, Verizon is also one
of the largest providers of broadband and television. According to an article from the
Washington Post, Verizon has been in talks to merge with Charter Communications. This comes
approximately a year after Charter acquired Time Warner Cable. This is huge news, considering
that Charter Communications is the nation’s second largest cable company, only below Comcast.
