Vanity Fair Assignment
1. The future is now, the future is AI.
2. When it comes to the topic of AI I would mostly side with Elon Musk on this one. I do believe
that AI has lots of potential to help mankind in its search for a more convenient life because
they will continue to simplify our everyday processes but I agree with Elon Musk though
because it is still very new and technology is already becoming very powerful. We have
technology that can destroy whole cities and others that can communicate with each other. The
only things missing from turning them into a major threat is free will. Once technology is
capable of thinking for itself and not on command it will be able to make a harmful decision on
its own and human extinction will be a possibility.
3. Yes I believe if not controlled AI has the ability to wipe out civilization because as stated above if
