(1) Attention Getting Device: According to Centers of Disease Control and Prevention,
178 cases reported in 17 states. 120 in California alone. (Cite #1) Many of you may
have heard about the recent measles outbreak that is believed to have started in “the
happiest place on earth”, Disneyland.
(2) Thesis Statement: Every parent can make the choice to vaccinate their children
and dramatically reduce the risk for outbreaks.
