On November 8, 2016, the United States of America had its 58th
Presidential Election. The same night announced Donald J. Trump as
the 58th President for the United States of America. Donald J. Trump
represented the Republican Party and Hillary Clinton, the other
presidential candidate, represented the Democratic Party. Trump was
in the limelight all throughout his campaign due to some of his illogical
comments such as building a wall on the southern border of the States
to restrict immigrants, Muslim-free nation, depicting that’s the solution
to tackle terrorism. Trump’s personal comments on Hillary and some
lewd comments for women, also added publicity to his campaign.
Trump simple but aggressive marketing strategy was just to stay in the
headlines anyhow (Bacon, 2016).
Looking on Trump’s presidential election campaign and above stated
controversies, the question that is giving sleepless nights to Hillary
Clinton, and other Democratic party workers and supporters, is: How
did Donald J. Trump win the 58th Presidential elections? The answer has
a lot to do with history of politics in the States and the classification as
in the Right-wing and the Left-wing. The political Right-wing are the
economic and social conservatives, and the rest are the Left-wing. The
Republican Party’s honest and obvious supporters are the Right-wing
(Farney, 2012). No matter who the Republican presidential candidate is,
what and how the candidate delivers in his speeches and debates, the
right-wing is going to support him anyways. Obviously, some strategies
are to be made up to simplify the efforts to gather more support from
them. This is exactly what Trump capitalized on and received an
enormous support by making them feel secure through commenting on
restriction of immigrants and Muslim-free nation.
Hillary Clinton’s supporters claim that the reason why Mr. Donald J
Trump won the election is simply that the citizens did not want to vote
for Clinton. They say citizens voted for Trump just because of his stand
against illegal immigrants and Islam terrorism. These are actually one of
the reasons of Trump’s win. However, Trump’s strategy to reach out to
the white working-class community in the states of Ohio, Iowa, West
Virginia and North Carolina, who actually were the by-default supporters
of the Democratic Party, worked out perfectly for him (Fox News, 2016).
As far as the industrial sector is concerned, the USA economy reported a
significant growth in the unemployment of the white working-class
community due to the outsourcing of jobs to other countries. Trump
grabbed the opportunity and pledged to bring more new jobs for the
community in his “First 100 days’ Priorities in the Oval Office” (msn.com,
