Some people believe unpaid community service should be compulsory part of high school
programs. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
It is stated that unpaid social work should be mandatory as a part of the educational curriculum
for high school students. I believe this is a decent approach to adult life for teenagers and
meeting the society’s needs.
It is clear that teens have no job experience and need to gain it to be able to fit into a system
eventually. An unexperienced worker is a burden on employer’s shoulders, even if it they has
have an academic degree. The main aptitude needed in a workplace is fitting to in one. Frankly
engaging with coworkers fruitfully is a quality a staff member should acquire through time and
there is no academic approach to it. So pre-start (pre-start ???) in a work area is a helpful
means (means: it is also singular!) for the young generation.
Furthermore, we do live in a society and we need to teach teenagers that they are a part of it,
so they need to contribute to it. They need to be striped of the individualism. They have to
understand that the society’s needs have to become a priority. An unpaid work can be
interpreted as a duty that engraves the sense of responsibility.
Moreover, this method will lower the city’s costs. Millions of dollars are spent annually for
government services. Implementing cost–saving measures helps the executive branch to invest
in more important sections like infrastructure and education.
To sum up, an obligatory assignment community work for teenagers could help both their
community and themselves tremendously. This will mold a sociable character which has a good
understanding of life in a community. It also helps the governing body to cut expenditures and
provide the opportunity for further developments.
