A beautiful morning arises as the girl wakes up from her bed seeing a ray of sunlight shine through
her windows, giving a peck of another day, standing up and walking through the blinds parting it, and
letting the warm light pass through her. For a minute, the girl is lost with her thoughts listening to the
breeze of her surrounding with the swaying of trees, honking of vehicles, the billowing waves from
the shore, chirping of birds, purring of cats and howling of her pet dog named Bong. As she walks
through her balcony, yawning with her hands up, she closed her eyes feeling the rhythm that her
heartbeat does, and hearing the soothing melodies that brings peace to her blank state of mind. She
then let out a soft breath. Embracing the cool wind with her hoodie on, scanning the place trying to
find something interesting seconds after she noticed a group of people jamming happily, singing and
dancing together as if there were celebrations going on. A sanctuary that she preserve to kept for a
longer time, not until her clock kept ringing that startled her from a deep slumber. Her eyes widened
as she sees the time and realize that she was late for work. Navigating her motorbike along the highway,
she feels so high that she might stop midway. As she arrives towards her destination, chatters and
whispers would be heard. She was dazed for a moment then put straight face and fasten her pace
realizing that she is a singer and composer. Inside her studio, a low tempo and dreary tune welcome
her, every beat reverberates through her. In her hands are the written notes a masterpiece that will be
remembered.
She was having a hard time writing her composition although she had put all of her emotion it
seems like there is no connection. The break helped her but it wasn’t enough, as a friend I know she is
tough, how I miss to see her laugh because everything she went through has been rough. She is my
friend and I treat her as a sister, I have known her better because we’ve been together since we were
toddler. I may not be a singer and composer but I know music is my answered prayer. It’s an unspoken
melody that pulls me out from the dark chamber and lulls me into the bright corner. They say, if you
like something, you should be good at it, so I try and work on it. It’s a serendipity that makes me feel
ecstasy that I wish you can see and love unconditionally.
