United States of America is known as the country of
opportunities and where dreams can come true. Many ethnicities
have come to California seeking an opportunity or change in their
life. As California`s population started growing after gold was
discovered, many different races saw this as a great opportunity to
start a new beginning in their life and in their loves ones as well.
The Gold Rush had a major impact in California, due to
immigration, population and discrimination.
Immigrants caused a huge impact in California and its
people by causing its population growth in a fast speed. In 1849, a
huge flow of immigrants came to California in seek of gold.
Massive of men were driven to California in seek of richness.
A major impact that the Gold Rush had was population. As
known, Gold was discovered in San Francisco; as a result, about
36,000 residents lived in San Francisco. For this reason, in 1850
California became a state.
