RESEARCH PAPER 2
Abstract
The use of alcohol is very common in these days among our society. Most of population do not
think that alcohol is a kind of drug. Its misuse brings a mediate and immediate consequences.
The mediate consequences arise from the continuing use and result in serious health problems
such as cirrhosis, and others. Immediate consequences arise on drinking exaggeration and result
on traffic accidents, violence clumsy, and unwanted pregnancies.
Early use of alcohol has recently been matter of concern, and creation of new public policies for
the prevention of this problem is necessary. The biggest challenge today is to convince the
population that the word "drug" is not just about to illicit drugs such as crack cocaine or
marijuana only, but also assimilate the legal drugs such as alcohol. In other words, it is essential
to understand that alcohol is a drug and its use by youths should not be taken in disregard, and
must not be considered as normal.
The use of alcohol is common in most culture but we all can help on that in our future generation
for they could not be a generation of alcoholics. Education always begins at home. Parents must
not think that the school must educate their kids. The role of the school is to teach. Parents have
the duty to educate their children, explaining to them what is right and what is wrong. Thus, if a
project arises in school about "teenage alcoholism" will only take effect with the participation
and involvement of parents. They must understand the campaign objectives and ideas, and put
them into practice, just to bring up its results.

UNDERAGE DRINKING
Population, especially parents, should be alarmed by the large level of alcohol
consumption among adolescents and young population, but unfortunately they are not. Society in
general need to take a serious action against this evil. Professionals on the area of treatment as
psychologists, therapists, and doctors must get united to launch together a wide front against this
pernicious wave that is devastating our society. What is underage drinking? “Underage drinking–
that is, drinking under the age of 21” (Dedel, K., & United States, 2004).
Families have the most responsibility to establish a dialogue in which the kid can
understand the risks of alcohol use, as well as to give a good example to them. Bringing kids out
to enjoying local community is also another good tip for families to start a good communication
about it. This way, parents are able to establish connection between the kids and the community.
School has responsibility to conduct youths and families into social projects. Projects that
aimed to combat early alcohol and drugs use. These social projects should be interactive,
dynamic and should guide the young to be interested in the subject and not just taking it as an
obligation to be fulfilled.
Community has another part on this problem, and its part is to accept these social
projects. Secondly, they have to help reaching those who are in alcohol problems, and wherever
possible, help them either financially or actively participating in their issues.
Government should provide the necessary support for these projects to get launched,
especially those which is be launching in public schools. They need to provide training for
teachers to address this issue in safely manner. Just when everyone is working together we could
prevent the early use of alcohol and remedy its structural causes.

ALCOHOL HISTORY
Even though alcohol is a drug, often it is not regarded as such by its great social
acceptance. “In Greek mythology, Dionysus is the god of wine and in Catholic communion, as
blood of Christ is represented” (Isler-KerDnyi, C. 2015). Today, it is common alcohol "initiation"
on young age. The false belief of innocence is due to the existing high permittivity in which
leads one to early alcohol consumption.
The alcohol contained in beverages is known scientifically as ethanol, being produced by
the distillation or from fermented as sugarcane, fruit and grains. Since ethanol is colorless, the
color of alcoholic beverages other components are obtained as malt or even through the addition
