Unfair Labor Practice 3 – Allegheny General Hospital
Worker Jimmy has filed an unfair labor practice charge against Sumter County Hospital
alleging violations of Section 8(a), Subsection (1), Subsection (2), and Subsection (3) of the
National Labor Relations Act. Section 8(a)(1) of the Act forbids an employer “to interfere with,
restrain, or coerce employees in exercise of their rights under Section 7.” If an employer
interferes with the rights of the employees to organize, form, join, or assist a labor
organization, interferes with the employees’ rights to bargain collectively, interferes with the
rights of employees to engage in concerted activities, or interferes with employees’ rights to
