Two Theories That Make Sense
Agenda Setting Theory:
1. I chose this theory because I feel like I see it alot in today’s society. It makes sense to me
because I even see this in my own life, I wouldn’t have the views and beliefs that I do if I
lived in a different area that streamed a different news station. But the reason it keeps
happening is because we have no idea what’s going on outside of what we see so we have
nothing to be more interested in.
2. 1 big example of agenda setting is news surrounding presidents, we only see what they
want us to see and they control how important something is. We just have to believe them
because we don’t know if there’s anything they aren’t “showcasing”. Another example is
social media, we only believe what we see and trust who we follow. If there is an
