Overview
Project Management Institute (2017) defines project management as “the application of
knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project activities to meet the project requirements (p.
10). One can extend PMI’s definition to any industryin particular, the construction industry,
where the identical model is used to achieve the same goal, only in a construction context. In
today’s society, the construction industry is regarded as an organized industry, stemming from
the demand for housing and infrastructure development, the supply of abundantly skilled labor
force, and technological advancement.
Construction projects are exceedingly structured endeavors with a lot of moving parts
and human capital, with multiple phases to manage, from designing to planning, then scheduling,
