Professor Mejeur,
Attached here is my final draft of Writing Project 3: Informative Essay. I have had many
issues managing my time over the last couple weeks. After receiving feedback on my first draft,
I realized the lack of time management was reflected in this paper. The whole paper felt very
rushed. I appreciate the feedback that you gave me. It gave me a starting point when I began to
revise my essay. I took your advice and cleaned up the transitions as best as I could. Hopefully
you do not feel as though that is as much of an issue any longer. I was fortunate enough to have
one of my peers review my paper. He said that my conclusion was bad. I had to agree with him.
My conclusion was abrupt and lacking in substance. I felt as though I did not allot the time
needed to do this paper justice. The ending felt forced because I ran out of time to write instead
of coming to a natural conclusion. I believe that I corrected that issue for the most part.
Hopefully you will be able to see an improvement with this draft.

Writing Project 3: Informative Essay
During a TED conference, model and transgender rights activist Geena Rocero
describes what is was like growing up as a transgender woman. She describes a situation that
many can relate to, “All of us are put in boxes by our family, by our religion, by our society, our
moment in history, even our own bodies. Some people have the courage to break free, not to
accept the limitations imposed by the color of their skin or by the beliefs of those that surround
them.” (Rocero) With a supportive group of friends and family, Geena admittedly had an easier
time “breaking free” than most transgender people. The majority of transgender men and women
experience difficulties and discrimination in every aspect of their life. An average United States
citizen will take for granted that they are able to get a job, meet with a doctor, or advance their
