Dealing with Conflict
The purpose of this self-assessment is to understand how I can deal with conflict. Thus, I
am not sure if I give wishes to the other part when I have conflict at work. I agree I try to realize
a middle-of-the-road solution. I strongly disagree I push my point of view, I strongly agree I
examine issues until I find a solution that satisfies me and the other party. I disagree that I avoid
a confrontation about our differences. I agree that I concur with the party, I strongly agree that I
emphasize that we have to find a compromise solution. I disagree that I search for gains, I
agree that I stand for my own and other’s goals and interests. I strongly disagree that I avoid
differences of opinion as much as possible. I agree that I try to accommodate the other party, I
agree that I insist we both give in a little. I agree that I fight for a good outcome for myself. I
agree that I examine ideas from both sides to find a solution. I disagree that I try to make
differences loom less severe. I agree that I adapt to the other parties’ goals and interests. I
strongly disagree that I strive whenever possible toward a 50-50 compromise. I strongly
disagree that I do everything to win. I strongly agree that I work out a solution that serves my
own as well as others’ interests as much as possible. I strongly disagree that I try to avoid a
confrontation with the other person.
other person if he or she agrees with my assessment. And I modify my assessment until both of
us agree on the areas of conflict.
