Toxic Work Environment
A toxic work environment is a place of work where the atmosphere, the colleagues, the
job, or the combination of all those things cause severe disturbances to the rest of your life. A
toxic business environment lowers the morale of the employees. Lack of prevention to this kind
of environment leads to low business performance, which leads to losses to the owner. This kind
of environment negatively impacts the viability of an organization. Therefore a conducive
environment is essential for both the works and for the final performance of the business.
It is precise that there has been increased diversity in the workforce primarily based on
gender, and clearly, women have been victims mostly. There have been increased efforts in
pushing for gender equality in the workforces, but it is evident that men continue to dominate the
employment sector. Diversity is defined as a mixture of multiple genders, sexual preferences,
races, ethnicity, and religions, along with anybody that may be dissimilar in one way or another
within either a small or large group (Roberson, 2016). Therefore, inclusion is making every
member of a diverse group of individuals feel that they are part of the group and are all valued as
group members and respected.
There have been many gender discrimination cases brought forward by a group of
women faced in the workforce. Interviewing women (because they are the victims) is seen as a
credible aspect of getting the truth on gender discrimination (McLaughlin & Blackstone 2017).
The journal worked to examine the gender discrimination encounter by women. The author
interviewed females who had encountered discrimination in their professional academic career
courses. Based on the outcomes, it is clear that a significant number of women link their career
failure to gender discrimination. It has been anticipated that some career courses are male-
dominated thus, finding a woman in such courses is seen as an absurdity. The result of this has

fewer females at the top. Various avenues are supposed to be followed to eradicate the issue.
There should be gender equality in all working platforms in the United States, and both genders
have a presentation on leadership. The information will be relevant to the research in presenting
an argument on the impacts of gender discrimination in the workforce and what improvements
need to be done to eradicate the problem.
During the pandemic of COVID-19, women have been negatively impacted as they have
been furloughed. Most companies have risked losing women’s leadership and continuous years
of progress toward gender diversity. All companies should ensure equality in their workplace and
create a justifying environment for women to reduce burnout. Having this issue of gender
discrimination at the workplace, there is a proposal to the leadership that there should be equality
