The financial crisis of 2007 led to what is known as the Great Recession of 2008, which
carried on and lingered through 2009. Up until this very present day, this time period was one of
the biggest financial crises that the United States faced since The Great Depression. I am not sure
where this current crisis will end up on the spectrum, but we shall see.
I remember some of the events surrounding this crisis but honestly, it did not seem to
affect me the way that it affected others. I remember being a single mother of three young sons
during that time and working as a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor. Although the country was in
a crisis, I was a promoted during that period of time and I was making more money than I had
ever in life. In my little bubble of the world, things were on the upside, so-to-speak.
