how to define their criteria for success. The criteria for success can be defined as “the
measures by which success or failure of a project will be judged(Karlsen, Anderson, &
Odegard, 2005.) In other words, each team and or supervisor needs to create their own
criteria that will set the tone for the expectations of the project. This criteria can be
created internally or from one of many official methods of success. The common bond
between all the criteria surveyed is some element to measure cost, time and the quality
of the project.

Once the criteria for a project are laid out one must identify a method in which to
conduct research. Some of the more popular research types include observational
method, a case study, or a survey. No matter what method is choose the most
important element is that the project has a clearly defined structure. Likewise, the
material presented in the project must be user friendly.

Once the project has been laid out the work can begin. At this point the work plan is to
be kept on hand at all times to track progress. Scheduling and budget are of the main
concern. The size of the project should determine the frequency at which the work plan
is evaluated. Larger jobs and ones scheduled at a rapid pace should be checked more
frequently and updated just this often.
