Severe thunderstorms.
A thunderstorm is rain showers, where you can see lightning and hear thunder.There are
two types on thunderstorms. We have a regular and a severe thunderstorm. One thing about
thunderstorms in general is that they must be treated with precaution because they both can be
dangerous. A thunderstorm and a severe thunderstorm both consists of three key elements to be
created. This first elect is a warm moist in the air and the, second element is when that warm
moist gets lifted, and the third is instability where warm moist air rises to the cool air atmosphere
above. A normal thunder store would last less than a severe thunderstorm which can last days. A
normal thunderstorm won’t associate with a tornado activities but on the other hand a severe
thunderstorm comes with high winds, gust fronts, microburst, hail, and tornadoes.
Thunderstorms have three life cycle stages. Stage one is the cumulus event. This is the
beginning of the thunderstorm where the spouse form and can reach a height up to 20,000 ft.
You can also notice how the clips at the bottom has a flat surface because that is where the warm
humid air is being condense with cool air. We can expect some rain with lighting and thunder
during this process.
Nature is the second state where clouds can reach height of 40,000 ft. We can see how
the warm humid is still being lifted, but it starts to cool down during the process. The flat surface
that was at the bottom is now starting to form at the top due to gravity taking over and we have a
downdraft where we get a gust of wind. We also get heavy rain and possible hail. Severe
thunderstorm produce ¾ inch diameter or greater. That is the size of a coin. The processes that
occurs for hail to be made is, by the updraft of strong currents of air caring droplets to the height
of freezing. The droppers turn to ice and grow, eventually becoming too heavy to be lifted and
