Thesis Statement
People take pride in their perspective of life, and I am no different. As a photographer, I take
advantage of the unique perspective granted to me by my camera, and I am always aware of the
photogenic qualities of my environment. I focus on what or who is in front of me, and I don’t shy
away from the good or the bad moments. Because moments are easy to miss, it has become
second nature for me to have my camera always at my disposal. My thesis project, Inside My
Perspective, has made this a necessity in order to capture different perspectives from my own.
Inside My Perspective focuses on what makes us all uniquely human through the abstract
portraiture of the eyes. I found people willing to participate when I reached out to them at events
or in public by having a conversation with them and bringing the project into the discussion. My
main focus is not only to capture meticulous patterns in the people’s eyes but to show a small
