1. Introduction
We are designing a device which is like a Black box for cars, in which we are going to
incorporate features like surveillance system and car automation in one module. The device
will also be able to connect to our smartphone through an Application which is going to be
connected by Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.in which we also include a live camera recording and locate
a location through a map by application, more features like ignition off/on, indicators , wipers
,headlights and so many in one system which is CoBox.
1.1 Purpose
We see this product as a game changer, as it will enhance the satisfaction of the customers
which is automatically going to boost the business of online cab industry, and it will also help
in identifying those factors which occur during accidents/incidents and a key-less environment
will also play an important role in modifying old fashion cars with new functionalities with
security.
1.2 Scope
Our device will be beneficial for safety purposes, basically it will help in satisfying the
customers who use online cab services and for banking sector as well to keep track of their
vehicles on the road and we are also promoting key-less environment through car automation.

In this feature, we connect CoBox with an android application to perform automated
keyless environment
2. Ignition
You can turn on ignition with android application by tapping just one button
3. Locate on map
The advantage of this feature is that you can track your car Through android application
if your car stolen by thief you can easily track your car and find on map through this
application
4. Live audio and video
You can view the current status of car what is happening in the car and you can also
switch the cameras by tapping one button in android application
5. Record
The recorded videos and audios will upload on cloud with internet connection. Because
of this feature you can remotely login to your android application and view the recorded
videos and audios anywhere at anytime

1.4 Limitations
There are some limitations in our product in which like high internet connectivity, new cars
model and the GPS.GPS work gradually because if we place CoBox under the seat, so we will
not get signals properly.
The car in which we use CoBox should be new or should be well maintenance because when
you start the engine through app then the problem occurs with old car whose requires
acceleration on engine start up and this problem will not occur with new car or well
maintenance car.
It requires high internet speed because the video and audio both uses internet to upload on
cloud if internet is slow and any mishap happened and the data is not uploaded due to low
internet connection then you will not get the app exact the information or clues about that
mishap.

2. Literature review
The purpose of making CoBox is to increase the securities in cars and also aware local people
about technologies. This system will become revolutionary change in our society. Pakistan is
listed in country where most accidents occurs due to lack of insecurity and having no clues or
evidence of that accident.
Many cases left behind because they don’t have data, reports or any clues. So we decided to
make a system that covers the surveillance as well as automatic features with the help of an
android application. We gathered ideas from two projects that`s explanation is given below:
1) Black Box
2) Car Chaabi
Black box
Due to many accidents occurred by aircrafts, people were working on it to find the actual reasons for
that accidents, So at March 17,1953, after several high-profile crashes of de Havilland Comet
airliners go unsolved. Australian researcher David Warren invented a device to record cockpit noise
and instruments during flight.
During the first half of aviation’s history, crashes rarely came with any answers. Even if an
eyewitness saw an airplane crash, little was known of the cause or what pilots might have been
aware of before the crash.
After aircraft crash, you find the black box and can check the talks of pilot with control tower that
happened In the last moment of crash. This black box is water proof, fire proof and robust.

Car Chabi
Basically Car Chabi is an application developed by two young entrepreneurs named Hammad
Yasir and Muhammad Ali Rashid from Lahore. The Car Chabi lets you control your car from
smartphone.
Aptly named Car Chabi, the app lets you do away with your car keys. You can lock, unlock,
start, and stop your car from your phone. It also lets you secure the car and turn the AC and
heater on/off from a distance of about 50 80 feet
Literature Analysis
By analysing the projects of Black box and Car chabi and its research paper we got idea that
why not integrate both projects under one box with better performance and advance
