this speed is the foundation of a competitive advantage. Typically, businesses aim to have the
shortest lead time possible.
The worldwide environment and market competition motivate the organization to minimize delivery
times. Some organizations compromise production quality to attain the shortest lead time, which
impacts their product sales and market reputation. The lead time must be met while preserving
manufacturing quality. Due date performance is essentially the timely delivery of ordered goods or
services.
Rapid Delivery Rate/Time
Customer satisfaction can be achieved by incorporating flexible capacity into production, operations,
and timely delivery. Delivery time or speed is regarded as an essential competitive advantage.
Today’s organizations compete to produce superior products/services in the shortest amount of
time possible. Therefore, we can say that the primary focus of this competitive priority is speed, i.e.
