During this session on I feel we need to check and see how you’re doing with your science class
and what changes we need to make if any and how you’re doing implementing what we
previously discuss to help bring up your grade? So let’s review the issue, discuss what
accommodations/ modifications if any are in place, and resources you’re currently utilizing to be
successful.
Counselor: Let’s discuss a few thing from our previous session and recap some of our goals. For
starts your overall goal was to bring up your current science grade. You stated you was
struggling with the lab assignments, Right? Is this still something you are struggling with in
science class?
Student: Yes, I want to bring my science grade up before grade reports go out. I have been taking
notes but still struggle with understanding the material and measurements.
Counselor: Let’s discuss the steps in our plan you have been utilizing so we can determine if we
need to make changes.
Student: I feel like in class while taking notes I got this. Then I began the assignment and I get
frustrated and confused and quit especially with measurements required for the labs.
