The option I chose to write about this week, will be option a- The writing process. My
own experience with writing has been a lot, and over the years I have gotten a little better at written
papers. But I still have a lot of issues wrong with my papers now. But that also might be because I have
gotten a better English teacher over the years. And to answer the question, feel like the process I
struggle the most with is revision. Because when I check my paper, I don’t realize how many run on
sentences I have, I don’t realize that till after I turn the paper in. And that I could add fewer words to the
sentences and have them make more sense. I am also bad at revision because, when I go to revise my or
someone else paper, I don’t change many things about it. The stage that I spend the most time with is
drafting because I have a hard time writing about things that don’t interest me. And most of the time
the first that I draft in my introduction paragraph then my conclusion sentences. And the reason I do
that is that it helps me build the rest of my paper and gives me a better understanding of how my paper
will be. I also have a hard time with that because sometimes my tone changes a lot throughout the
paper, also when I do that my purpose changes. I remember when I was writing my research paper my
junior year; that I changed my outline like 7 times and the order of the paragraphs because I wanted to
make sure I had it sound the best. The process that is my best and the easiest for me is invention. That is
the easiest when I get to write about things I like. Because when I write about things, I like I get a lot of
ideas on how I want my paper to be. And this stage I like because I write like an outline, but do not
worry about how I am writing it. I don’t worry about that till I do my drafting. Because when I do that
first, I get more out of it and I get a little idea on how my per should be written at the tone parts are the
hardest for me in every step that I do. What are some things that I hope to improve this semester? What
a hard question because there is a lot of things, I would love to improve this semester. But I know that
you can’t improve everything in one semester. But if I had to pick one thing, it would probably be my
grammar, or how I chose to write my sentences. My grammar has always been bad, I always chose the
wrong words. I never realize how much it doesn’t make sense while I’m reading it to myself into either
when I read it out loud or when I get it back after turning it in. That is my conclusion on the writing
process.
