The World is No Longer White
This country was once divided by white verses black. People who were white believed
that they had superiority over people with black skin. James Baldwin describes his struggles with
places outside of the United States having issues with white people calling him a “neger”
because the children in the village didn’t know the difference. Baldwin makes a bold statement
in this essay, “This world is white no longer, and it will never be white again” (Baldwin 370).
