The peace in Syria is elusive as ever. Humanitarian need is at an all time high, and
Kazakhstan plays a crucial negotiating and peacekeeping role in the Middle East. Unrelenting
suffering has been going on for far too long now. As of the last chemical attack in Khan
Sheikhun, more than eighty-six people were killed, at least twenty-seven children died, and at
least five-hundred- and fifty were injured (Jazeera). Kazakhstan’s developing economy plays a
significant role in the country’s interests in the Syrian crisis. Kazakhstan’s relationships consist
of many allies who all have different opinions on how to end this civil war, and Kazakhstan is
going to give its full efforts to maintain its economic ties with those countries. Throughout the
entire crisis from 2011 and on, Kazakhstan has remained neutral while also being an advocate for
communication between countries. They set a regional model of peace and cooperation for other
