Maximizing College Experience though understanding of Memory
Our brains consist of many parts in which function and each play a different role in our
bodies. One of the most amazing functions of our brains is our Memory. Our memory consists of
short-term and long-term memory. Our memory is useful in so many ways. If we were not to
have memory than our lives would be very difficult. We would not be able to recall past
memories, remember what we need to know for a test or remember the names of our loved ones.
It is essential to learn how to use your memory in order to benefit once self. If we learn to use
our memory to its full extent we are able to accomplish so much in life. This manual was written
in order to meet the goal of improving your college performance through an understanding of
memory.
We will begin with ways that students can maximize their understanding. This section
can assist a person in helping to understand lectures and reading assignments that they are given
