I will be analyzing the Pepsi co. ad that was accused of trivializing Black Lives Matter. The
media practitioner at the center of this case would be Pepsi co.. In early 2017 Pepsi co. released
an ad that received a lot of negative feedback. For context, throughout the ad the screen pans
from various creatives to a big diverse group of protesters, with signs that convey the message of
striding for peace and love. The ad then continues to show the main antagonist, who is in the
middle of a photo shoot, this being none other than Kendall Jenner.
