The Shack: What Is God’s Role in Such a Cruel World?
Each day it seems as if our people in our society are becoming more and more malicious.
There is more crime happening in various forms; for example, crimes against children, against
women, against other races, and/or against those of di erent religions. These crimes are
happening each and every day, taking many innocent lives out of our society due to pe”ness
and the inability to accept others for who God made them and nothing more. For instance
pedophilia, domestic violence, hate crimes, terrorism, and many other aspects of our being
and/or society. A’er reading the book, The Shack, I believe the book inspires people to see the
role of God in their lives and in the world around us, but what his role is in human lives is
debated among many people.
