The Scarlet Letter
The main point the filmmaker was trying to make I think was how the Indians and the
colonists lived differently. They were both trying to bring peace amongst each other however,
the Indians still felt some type of way towards the colonists because they killed the Indian chief.
The only loyalty they had was towards Arthur. I also think the filmmaker was trying to highlight
the seriousness of having a child out of wedlock was. To them it was very horrible and against
the law in a sense.
In Massachusetts of the 17th century, a lady by the name of Hester Prynne ended
up pregnant out of wedlock, so she was sentenced to prison where she had her daughter
