The Rise of the Spellman Girls
Earlier the United States has lived in an age of segregation and deprivation against colored
people. The so called land of the free have made it a living hell for its African American
citizen who they enslaved originally after the end of slavery. A group of brave Spellman
girls decided enough is enough and did something about it when everyone else was scared
to act and do the right thing. Here is how I felt learning about their bravery and their story
of heroism.
At Their teens facing fear in a fashion that is suited for super heroes they stood together.
I can’t honestly pick one of them to wright about and give the proper praise that they
deserve.
The actions they made happen have changed the history of the south to something that
might have taken much more years to take place. I admire and respect each and single one
of them and from now on seeing you Dr.Thomas in class will be accompanied by a feeling
of honor of being in the same place as someone as brave as you the Spellman girls. No one
should forget what these brave girls have done for their race and for the following
generations of African Americans.
