The Author has greatly explained the meaning of living life that there are some of the things that
we don’t know and don’t realize it very easily. Old man was trying to make understand the boy
that there is a precious present for you and only you can get it. Author wants us to know that
there are similar things going around us like people are trying to make us happy and wants us to
be happy all the time. Same way the old man told the boy that there is present for you. Author’s
aim was to get the readers know that if any people we know well and if they are trying to make
us happy and wants to see us happy then it’s the precious present given by them. This story can
be applied to our regular lives and if we go to college or outside to any other unknown country
then it can happy as the same way it happened with the young boy in story. In school, there is
