The Odyssey Contrast and Comparison
The main differences between O Brother, Where Art Thou?, and The Odyssey are the
characters, the setting, and plot. For instance, The Odyssey takes place somewhere between 650
to 750 B.C. in Greece whereas O Brother, Where Art Thou?, takes place in the 1930’s. Due to
the differences in times, there are evident differences in culture and values within the two stories.
