The Nature of Process Cost Systems
There were many things that we went over in class throughout the semester that will forever
be something I will refer to when it comes to various aspects of accoun$ng. Some of the concepts that
we learned throughout the dura$on of the course were very tricky at $me, while other concepts were
easier to grasp ahold of. For this assignment, the class was asked to talk about one of the many concepts
that we learned this past semester. There has been a lot of things that have been taught but I was able
to sele with the subject of process cost systems.
Companies will use process cost systems to apply costs to similar products that are mass-
produced in a con$nuous fashion. A few examples of companies that use this system would include
Kellogg, General Mills, and even Ben & Jerry’s. Process cos$ng systems are even used within service
