“To Sir with Love”
The movie that changed my life was “To Sir with Love”. The movie is about a teacher who finds a way
to reach young people who do not care about their education. I was probably 12 when I saw the film for the first
time. I didn’t realize it then, but I think that is one reason I became a teacher. The story is about young engineer
Mark Thackeray who takes a teaching job while he is waiting on an engineering job announcement. As a new
teacher, he must deal with unruly students while teaching them to respect themselves and others. In short, he
was the kind of teacher we would all like to have at least once. After watching the movie, I was left with a
feeling that one person can make a positive difference in the lives of others if the person wants the best for those
