“The Lure and Lore of Deserts”
On Monday, March 30 2015 I attended Mrs. Sandy Mortimer’s presentation at
West Chester University in the Skyes Theater. Her presentation and film discussed her
journey and experiences through the deserts. The lecture was titled “The Lure and Lore
of Deserts” and I learned about ancient legends and what draws people to these little
known sites and the stories behind them.
Although at first I could not make an immediate connection between this
presentation and our course material, it finally occurred to me. Mrs. Sandy Mortimer
