The Lessons of The Good Dinosaur
Pixar Disney has made many amazing and fascinating animated movies such
Wall-E, Ratatouille, and Toy Story. The movie, The Good Dinosaur, directed by Peter
Sohn, is the best movie of Pixar. The Good Dinosaur is funny and emotional, and it is
such a wonderful movie for the family. The movie portrays the dinosaurs as humans,
and the humans as wolves. An allegory of this movie is about confronting with fears.
The main characters are Arlo, who is a young fearful dinosaur, and Spot, who is a
young Neanderthal boy. Arlo and Spot face dangers in the forest together. As a result,
Arlo can overcome his fears and experience a lot. The Good Dinosaur is related to
two movies which are “The Lion King,” and “We Bought a Zoo.” The Good Dinosaur
represents three main ideas which are facing fears, sacrificing, and the love of parents.
To begin with, the movie, The Good Dinosaur, shows that Arlo is the very
timid dinosaur, but after he encounters a lot of dangers in the forest with Spot, he can
overcome his fears. In the movie, there is heavy rain and lightning. Arlo has to fight
with his frights in order to get Spot out of the raptors that try to eat him. The movie
shows that Spot forces Arlo to be brave. Arlo’s father, Henry, teaches Arlo to
overcome his fears. One night, Henry wakes Arlo up, and they take a walk together.
Arlo is afraid of going into the dark by himself. After that, there is a huge swarm of
fireflies that is flying out of the grass and lighting that displays such beautiful nature
at night. Then, Henry said, “Sometimes you got to get through your fears to see the
