The Internet of Things
The Internet of things has been defined as a technology that started very recently. In
essence, the internet of things connects devices such as everyday objects from cellphones, coffee
makers, washing machines, headphones, lamps, and wearable devices to industrial equipment
like jet engines of an airplane or the drills of an oil rig onto the network, enabling information
gathering and management of these devises via software to increase efficiency, enable new
