The Interpreter Design Pattern
The interpreter design pattern is a behavioral design pattern. It is one of the twenty-three well
known Gang of Four patterns, but it is one of the lesser used patterns. The interpreter pattern is
exactly what it sounds like, it specifies how to evaluate sentences in a language. It essentially
takes one representation of data and turns it into another representation of data. Google translator
is a good example of what this pattern accomplishes, it takes a phrase that means something in
one language and turns it into a phrase that means the same thing in a different language. For my
project, I decided to take on the problem of converting measurements. The interpreter pattern is
