Business and finance play a crucial role in shaping our modern society, and as such, there
is an increasing need for individuals in these fields to incorporate ethical and moral principles
into their decision-making processes. As a future tax attorney, I recognize the importance of
integrating faith and learning in the field of business and finance. The integration of faith and
learning provides a unique perspective that can help individuals navigate complex ethical and
moral dilemmas in the business world. In this presentation, I will explore the concept of the
integration of faith and learning and how it can be applied in the field of business and finance.
To understand the integration of faith and learning, it is essential to define the term and
its importance. According to James W. Sire, "The integration of faith and learning is the process
whereby biblical truth is related to all areas of the curriculum and all areas of life." (Sire, 2015)
This definition highlights the idea that faith is not only confined to religious activities but can be
applied to all aspects of life, including business and finance. The integration of faith and learning
is essential because it allows individuals to consider ethical and moral principles in their
decision-making processes, which can have a significant impact on society.
There are various approaches to the integration of faith and learning, such as the
"contemporary classical approach" and the "progressive evangelical approach." The
contemporary classical approach emphasizes the integration of faith and learning by exploring
the historical roots of Christianity and how they can be applied to modern-day contexts. On the
other hand, the progressive evangelical approach emphasizes the integration of faith and learning
by focusing on individual experiences and how they can be related to biblical principles. Both
approaches highlight the importance of incorporating faith into all aspects of life, including
business and finance.
